5 March, 2016, USA: Recently formed new research and development group ‘Future Lab Program’ of Sony has released its first device called ‘N’. The new developed device is first of its kind prototype hand-free wearable that provides an entirely new sound experience to the users. This new technology allows the user to listen or to receive information without inserting the device into his ears.
The company has released a new teaser in which a woman is wearing a device around her neck. It’s a shiny white gadget that curves over her shoulders, but there’s not much else we can deduce about it from this video. N is apparently a product that untethers user from the wired hassle of traditional earbuds. It doesn’t required user to insert the gadget in his year but instead of that, it transmits audio for user to hear. Though the product detailed features and working technology is not reavled yet but tech gurus feel that it is equipped with voice recognition feature as well.
Other than the video teaser, there’s no information known about N or other prototypes to come out of Sony’s Future Lab Program. According to the press release, N will be shown off along with other prototypes at this year’s SXSW Interactive Festival next week.
