18 September 2017, India:

Pregnancy & baby care products startup The Moms Co. has raised Rs. 6.5 Crore in the latest round of funding led by DSG Consumer Partners and Saama Capital.

Founded in 2016 by Snapdeal’s former growth and strategy head Mohit Sadaani and former banker Malika Sadani, The Moms Co. has the safest natural formulations that are certified toxin free products related to baby care, pre-natal and post-natal products, including body wash, body butter, body oil and foot cream.

Gurgaon-based The Moms Co makes natural, certified toxin-free skin and food products across mother and baby care categories. The capital raised in this round will be used to expand the product range. “We are midway through our testing phase and will launch this all-natural and toxin-free baby range with seven products by the end of the year,” Malika Sadani, CEO, The Moms Co, told ET.

The fresh funds will be utilized for expanding into metro cities and tier-II towns on an experimental basis. “We would love to be in 10 hospitals by March and are already in talks with a few pharma stores,” said Mohit Sadaani, co-founder of the firm. It currently serves in two hospitals in Gurgaon. (Source- ET)
