South Korean artists have caught the mind of people, whether it is through their love of K-drama films, plays, or K-Pop music.
Owing to their ever-expanding reach, the world’s most prestigious luxury companies have begun cooperating with some of Korea’s most well-known celebrities. The following are the top ten Korean celebrities who have been appointed as Luxury Brand Ambassadors in 2021.
Goong Yoo
The Train to Busan (2016) actor, who also appeared in Netflix’s most-watched series Squid Game (2021-), was named Chanel Korea’s brand ambassador earlier in 2021. The actor will be an ambassador for the brand’s high jewellery and timepieces.
His new appointment was introduced in an exclusive photoshoot with Elle Magazine Korea for the May issue. He displayed the legendary Chanel watch, J12. This is his first shoot with the company. Gong Yoo expressed his excitement to be working with the House of Chanel, believing that it is a famous brand with a deep history that also has modern characteristics. He was looking forward to further activities with the brand. Gong Yoo also did a shoot for Marie Claire Korea, where he was seen wearing the J12 watch.
Hyun Bin
The Korean heartthrob Hyun Bin who had starred in the hit Netflix series Crash Landing on Youbecame the first Korean celebrity in history to have endorsed the Italian luxury brand Loro Piana in September 2021.
His social engagement towards humanitarian as well as environmental efforts underscores the between himself and shared values with Lioro Piana, making the partnership a natural decision according to the brand said in a press release. The actor sported the brand’s fall/winter 2021-2022 collection, which will also included ready-to-wear items and accessories.
Loro Piana was not the only brand Hyun Bin had been endorsing. He was featured in the Tom Ford Beauty’s Soleil Neige Campaign making him the first Brand Ambassador of Tom For Beauty in 2021.
Naam Joo-Hyuk
Famous Korean actor Nam Joo-Hyuk, who had starred in the Netflix series Start-Up , became Dior Beauty Korea’s Brand Ambassador earlier in 2021. He had previously been appointed as the first Korean Ambassador of Dior Men in 2019. He was seen promoting various Dior products ranging from perfumes to skincare and makeup during his latest partnership with the brand.

Lee Dong-Wook
Lee Dong- Wook’s flawless skin which his fans fawn over made him the perfect choice for beauty and skincare product endorsement. He endorsed Chanel’s first makeup collection for men — Boy de Chanel as the Brand Global Ambassador in 2019.
He was further chosen as La Mer’s male brand ambassador 2021 and made an astounding appearance in Elle Korea’s July issue to announce his collaboration with the brand.
Kim Woo-Bin
The model-actor was spotted as the new brand ambassador of the Swiss luxury watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre attending The Sound Maker exhibition in South Korea.
“I’m very delighted to be a Friend of Jaeger-LeCoultre, with a long history of 188 years and great watchmaking expertise. I look forward to the new journey with Jaeger-LeCoultre,” said Woo-Bin when asked about the collaboration.
Kim Soo-Hyun
Kim Soo-Hyun, one of South Korea’s highest-paid performers, was named Tommy Hilfiger’s new brand ambassador.
On Tommy Hilfiger’s website, it says, “For days at home and working life leisure and work, Kim always looks to the future with a smile.” The actor was spotted wearing the brand’s menswear range for Autumn 2021. He was also named the Asia ambassador for Swiss watchmaker Mido.
Lee Jung-Jae
While Lee Jung-Jae of Squid Game fame prepares for the next season of the Netflix series, the Korean actor has attracted the eye of one of the world’s most prestigious design firms. In November 2021, he was named Gucci’s global brand ambassador. “Lee Jung-Jae’s charismatic and iconic style and a strong self-identity is similar to Gucci’s philosophy that values acceptance of diversity and self-expression,” according to a Gucci press release.
Ho- Yeon Jung
Ho-Yeon Jung is another Squid Game star who has exploded in popularity since the show’s premiere. The model-turned-actress is now a global spokesperson for Louis Vuitton. “I immediately fell in love with HoYeon’s great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago,” the French luxury fashion house’s creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere wrote on Instagram on October 6, 2021.
She has previously walked the runway for the brand and appeared in a ready-to-wear campaign in 2017, according to the post as well.
Shin Min-A
The stunning model-actress, who is recognised for her flexibility and great appearance, is one of the Korean superstars who has landed a brand agreement. She was most recently seen in Netflix’s Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, and in November 2021, she was named Gucci’s worldwide ambassador.The fashion house used Twitter to showcase photos of the actress wearing its line.
Song Hye-Kyo
The actress from the film Descendants of the Sun (2016) has been named Fendi’s first Korean global brand ambassador. Her timeless charm makes her the ideal candidate to represent the high-end fashion house.
