5 March, 2016, New Delhi: Amazon has come out as a leader in India, putting side its counterparts Flipkart and Snapdeal in the recently concluded survey. Other companies that made it to top 10 list are Ebay, Myntra, Yepme, Jabong, Naaptol, Shopclues and Askmebazaar. The survey was conducted on the grounds of finding ‘The Most Trusted Online Shopping Brand’. The findings of the survey have boosted the morale of World’s largest e-retailer who has been actively promoting its platform around the length and breadth of the country.

The survey was conducted among 2,500 respondents; aged 21-50, across 16 cities and its findings have been compiled in The Brand Trust Report, India Study 2016. The report is issued annually by TRA (formerly Trust Research Advisory), reports ET.

Commenting on the survey report, N Chandramouli, CEO, TRA said, “Amazon is India’s most trusted online shopping brand with 36 per cent of the trust pie. Together, these three brands make up for 76 per cent of online shopping trust pie.”

In the brand segment, it is Samsung which has emerged as a clear winner and followed by Sony and LG, while Tata Group is the only Indian corporate to figure in the top five.
