Mumbai-based automobile startup Carcrew announced today that it raised a fresh round of funding of $500,000 led by TVS Group. Punit Goyal, Rajesh Agarwal, Ketan Kothari participated in the round as well.
Carcrew is a technology platform for aftermarket sales and services of automobiles. The platform helps make car ownership a hassle-free and affordable experience. It offers a wide array of products and services that range from car cleaning and detailing to regular maintenance, from running repairs to breakdown services, and genuine spare parts and latest accessories. Car owners can avail of these services in three simple steps: Search, Select, and Book.
Goyal said, “Our technology is under development. Our consumer app is in the beta stage. The automotive aftermarket in India is worth $15 billion, largely unorganized. Along with technology adoption, the recent demonetisation move and implementation of GST will help in making a shift from unorganized to organized which will be good for the consumers and the industry.”
“The automotive sector worldwide is on the cusp of disruption with the adoption of sharing economy, electric cars and autonomous drive vehicles. We want to be prepared to lead this disruption in India with the help of technology,” he added. Source- Techcircle
