Putting together a startup, making it flourish and managing it – a tough job to be accomplished. Nonetheless, we see thousands of such startups getting launched every year in India, so as throughout the world. As 2016 ended very recently, we thought of creating a list of the startups that grabbed eyeballs and the ones that couldn’t make it to the top, or rather had to close down their shutters.

Fashion rentals are fast becoming popular, no doubt Flyrobe climbed up to the top. But, sadly enough Klozee had to bid adieu to the fashion industry. Online grocery shops have become really popular; so much so that new names are coming up every other day. But, it was only Grofers that made it big in 2016. BigBasket has been high on popularity as always. Surprisingly enough PepperTap couldn’t stand the onslaught of time, neither the breakneck competition.
