23 December, 2015, Goa: A mobile fitness app which has already created a lot of buzz in the market, MobieFit, now gets the support of Medi Assist India as the company invested US $ one million in the mobile startup. Sharing his views on the development, Gourav Jaiswal, Director, Mobiefit says, “With our partnership with Medi Assist, we hope to take our mFitness offering to more than 5 million corporate employees in urban India.”
MobieFit is a joint venture of Gourav Jaiswal and Bollywood diva Gul Panag. Supported by Prototyze another startup, the company launched its first product FirstRun which is a voice aided coaching app that helps the users by giving tips and training on running. By its new investment, Medi Assist India TPA Pvt. Ltd. is aiming to further strengthen its presence in corporate segment through a mobile app. However, the company has its own mobile app called Medibuddy, which helps the users to raise and track health insurance claims, plan their hospitalisation, schedule appointments etc. Medi Assist focuses on making health insurance benefits hassle-free, accessible and affordable to every Indian citizen. Its goal is to be an effective single point of contact between the various stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem – the insured, the insurer and the medical service provider – and to simplify the complex world of healthcare and health insurance.
