22 February, 2016: MobiKwik has partnered with bus aggregator startup Shuttl to make urban commute cashless. This association will enable Shuttl users to do away with cash payments and pay for their rides digitally via the MobiKwik wallet. Users who choose to pay with MobiKwik also stand to earn exciting cashbacks.

With approximately 20,000 bus rides booked daily via the Shuttl app, MobiKwik’s tie up with the bus aggregator will further help the company to make inroads into urban and last-mile commute. MobiKwik is already powering payments for train ticket bookings (via partnerships with IRCTC and popular travel portals) and cab rides (Uber and Meru Cabs).

Commenting on the partnership, MobiKwik Founder and CEO, Bipin Preet Singh said, “It is indeed a pleasure to partner with a disruptor like Shuttl. Now that MobiKwik is integrated with the Shuttl app, users can experience one-tap simple payments and pay for their bus rides in a flash. Users now don’t need to tender exact cash for their rides or hunt for any change.”

The MobiKwik mobile payment solution will allow instant one-tap payments for rides placed through Shuttl’s app. An urban commuter fumbling for change will now be a thing of the past as almost every last mile connectivity option now supports MobiKwik wallet. This also goes along with Shuttl’s aim to make urban commute stress-free and enjoyable.

Shuttl Co-founder Amit Singh remarked, “Our vision is to always work towards building comfortable and hassle free urban transportation. The partnership with MobiKwik is another step to offer consumers a convenient option of cashless payment with a simple click.”
