The company which currently operates from out of Bangalore, provides healthcare solutions to its customers by examining their blood samples and using technology to detect various diseases. However, company had not yet disclosed the raised amount.
Commenting the development, Dastidar and Rohit jointly said, “In a country like India, trained medical practitioners are always at a short supply. Many people have to travel long distances to see a doctor or even get a simple blood test done. New doctors can’t be trained overnight. The only way healthcare services can reach more people is to make doctors more efficient.”
The company has recently developed a product called Shonit. It is an advanced piece of technology which enables the user to analyse the blood sample captured through a microscope. Shonit comprises a microscope, a cellphone app and a cloud-powered engine for analysis and reporting.
