Muvi calls out all the coding ninja’s in the city who have a flare for coding to come and participate in a 12-hour non-stop development marathon -hackathon and win their ways to an exciting cash prize along with job offers.
Muvi, being the sole initiator of the hottest streaming industry in Bhubaneswar, takes pride in announcing this hackathon for new age developers, which will bring out and highlight various hidden talents in the corners around Odisha.
The Muvi Hackathon is to be held on 11th of February, 2017, starting 8 am to 8 pm, where apps are to be developed from scratch and finished within 12 hours. The winner will get a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, loads of media coverage and a possible job offer. Judgment will be based on the uniqueness of product idea, the performance of the product (software) and quality of code. All participants will get a participation certificate and some opportunities will walk out with job offer.
“We take pride in being the first ever global product company, grossly started from the land of Bhubaneswar and now working with clients like Sony, Tata and Universal,” says Pragyan Priyadarshini, CTO at Muvi. “We now believe that it’s time for a giveback. We’ve seen an abundance of talent in the city (our own CEO hails from Odisha), but somehow people here don’t get that big an opportunity to showcase their talent. The theme of this hackathon will be audio/video services and the participants are allowed to experiment their hands on developing any app in the web, iOS, Android and even TV domains including Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, etc., starting from scratch and finish in the duration of 12 hours.
Anshuman Das, CEO of the company, who now resides abroad, operating from Muvi’s head office in New York, hails from Odisha, and shares a secret love for his people and the land; states – “It will be interesting to see young developers come out and participate in this Hackathon, coding their ways to success and walk out with a job offer.”
