17 February, 2016, New Delhi: Taking a positive step forward, Flipkart has appointed Nitin Seth as Chief People Officer. In his new role, Seth is expected to head the human resource function. Apart from that, he will also partner with the leadership team to build an organisation for the future that is versatile and adaptable and bring about a distinctive culture that will fuel business performance, company said in a statement.
As per the reports, Seth will be directly reporting to the company’s CEO and Co-founder, Binny Bansal. Before joining the ecommerce giant, Flipkart, Seth was working with Fidelity International as MD and Country Head. In his previous firm, he was handling company’s offshore operations in India and Tunisia.
Commenting on the new appointment, Binny Bansal Said, “Nitin brings with him a unique mix of cross sectoral experience, deep understanding of business, entrepreneurial DNA and a long track record of building and nurturing winning teams. I am confident that Nitin will play a key role in enabling the team at Flipkart to fulfil our long term mission of transforming commerce in India through technology.”
