The Chief Information Officer of Vodafone India Vikas Grover has quit the company amidst Idea merger talks. an A Vodafone spokesperson confirmed Grover’s exit from the company. “A suitable replacement has been identified and will be taking over soon,” he added.
Grover joined Vodafone back in 2008 as Exec VP of Technology Planning. He held that position for almost 8 years before taking up a CIO in March 2016. He has been instrumental in transforming the Mobile Technology landscape; ensuring smart networks to deliver best customer experience and at an optimal cost of production.
He is likely to be replaced by VLCC executive Meenakshi Vajpai. Vajpai, however, would not get the CIO post, instead, she might be given the post of Head Infrastructure and Architecture a per the report by ET.
Meenakshi Vajpai has over 25 years of diverse experience in the IT industry, having worked with organizations like Steel Authority of India, Sapient Corporation, Bharti Airtel and VLCC. (Image- cio-choice)
