WhatsApp is believed to be working on a redesigned interface for the Contact Info page. The cross-platform mobile messaging app is also spotted to be working on a brand new feature that would allow its users to filter nearby businesses while using the in-app business directory. However, the directory is not yet available to all users.

WhatsApp is also tipped to be working on a feature that will allow group admins to link their groups to a community on iOS. It had already appeared on the Android version of the app. A report by the WhatsApp beta tracker website – WABetaInfo suggests that the Meta-owned instant messaging app is working on the redesigned Contact Info page for both iOS and Android users. The report also claims a similar to the app’s redesigned Business Info page, which was spotted in a beta version of WhatsApp earlier in August.
To provide a more personalized experience, the redesigned Contact Info page appears to include a dedicated search shortcut. According to WABetaInfo, it will be exclusive to iOS users at first. However, the redesign will be available in the near future for both iOS and Android users. The WhatsApp beta tracker website has shared a screenshot of the revised Contact Info page on iOS, which will be available for beta testers soon. The screenshot showcases that the new interface would replicate the iPhone’s default contact card aesthetic.

Furthermore, WABetaInfo reported that WhatsApp is introducing a filtering feature that would show when searching for nearby businesses. It would allow you to find the most suitable search results for specific places such as grocery stores, restaurants, and clothing stores.

The in-app business directory, which allows users to search for nearby businesses, was piloted in So Paulo, Brazil in September. There is no word on when it will be available to all other users, globally.
WABetaInfo has also mentioned some references to group admins on iOS being able to link their groups to a community. The update was spotted on WhatsApp for iOS beta version 2.22.1.1. The update was offered by WhatsApp for iOS beta version 2.22.1.1. The same feature for linking groups to a community was introduced earlier this month for Android users via WhatsApp beta version 2.21.25.17. However, the feature has not been rolled out for beta testers.

It’s worth noting that WhatsApp has not yet confirmed the rollout of the rumored features. As a result, it may make some changes before making them available to end-users.
