25 February, 2016, USA: Google seems to be experimenting a lot with its technology and so far, the company has managed to pull success. Adding one more feature in its kitty, Google has come up with a technology that allows its user to edit and format Google Docs by using his or her voice.
Last year in September, the company had released voice typing which enables its users to compose the text with the help of their voice. With this technology, the company wanted to eliminate the option of composing text through keyboard. Now, stretching the same technology further, the company added the similar feature in Google Docs with some modifications of editing and formatting commands which will allow the user to edit and format his Google Docs by using his voice.
“We launched Voice typing in Google Docs to help you capture ideas, compose a letter, or even write the next great novel — all without touching your keyboard. Starting today, you can also edit and format your documents with your voice,” Isaiah Greene, Product Manager, Google, wrote in a blog.
User just needs dictate the text and tell the doc about the punctuations and other feature such as paragraph breaks, adding bullet point lists, selecting specific text, applying different text formats and even adding a text smiley face and it will do it instantly.
