Karnataka Government has announced an ‘Idea2POC’ fund of Rs. 10 crores for women entrepreneurs. Under the scheme, the Department of IT, BT and Science and Technology funds up to Rs. 50 lakhs for any women innovator for Proof of Concept validation, certification, and covers costs in the manufacturing of pilot devices.
Addressing women entrepreneurs, the IT Minister, Priyank Kharge said, “I am happy to note that the confederation of women entrepreneurs is promoting the cause of empowerment by inculcating a culture of entrepreneurship among women and facilitating in shaping their ideas into workable models of business. Women empowerment means building their confidence level to face the world and to achieve their targets.”

Infrastructure Development Minister R. V. Deshpande said, “The 21st century is the era of women! Women empowerment has been a driving force in the development of any nation, and the government is making sure to encourage and educate the women entrepreneurs regarding their businesses, and provide support to their startups in terms of funding and mentoring for better growth.”
The IT Minister also announced an open house for women entrepreneurs, where they will be able to put forward their issues and problems to the Government. (Image- Yourstory)
